As a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and its divisions, you have the opportunity to choose the leaders who will guide your professional organizations into the future.
This is a critical time for the counseling profession and for ACA. To address the challenges and obstacles facing counselors today, ACA is implementing a new governance structure, putting in place a new Board of Directors and an Advisory Council to address the opportunities, complications, issues and needs facing those in the counseling profession.Your vote it vital to putting the appropriate leaders in place.
Similarly, ACA divisions and regions need leaders who possess the skills, knowledge and dedication to guide their members and organizations into the future and fulfill their charges to represent counselors and the counseling profession. Your vote is critically important in selecting these leaders, who will collectively establish the priorities and shape the policies that will move the counseling profession forward, both now and in the future.
Please carefully consider the lists of candidates for the open positions on the ACA Board of Directors, and those open positions on the ballots of the divisions which represent you. All these dedicated people volunteer their time and energy to run for office and to serve in these organizations. We encourage you to vote for the candidates who best reflect your professional values and priorities. Your vote is important; make it count! We also ask you to encourage your colleagues and students to do the same.
